By the way - Steve and Martha don't have a Stave Puzzle box in their photo, so they're disqualified :-)

Hi Miriam. Fun photos. The figurines in the last one look special. Is there a story behind them? Happy Holidays, June

The three in the final photo are Alice in Wonderland figurines. These pieces were carved and painted by hand and sold by a museum in England--I think the Dover Museum. I acquired them through the Metropolitan Museum of Art some years ago. They are actually meant to be ornaments, but I do not have a tree so placed them together in a little arrangement in the living room, along with a lovely card received from friends in Finland. Happy Holidays to you, too! Miriam

For Wacky 'n Wild: (Somewhere in these photos are premium, dark chocolate M&Ms)

"Why Doesn't It Fit? Lemme Try Again"

If it doesn fit, eat it! No one will know.

Giant clown piece doesn't even fit the box!

Hi June, Very clever... what a tasty solution... yum! And, hey, great job with your clown shape and decor.

Other ingredients besides M&Ms: Martha Stewart sanding sugar and holiday confetti (only 'cuz she's got a few blue boxes herself) royal icing that's better than cement, and gingerbread that's so hard its like wood.)

I got a number of family members their first Stave Puzzle this Christmas. On Christmas Eve I visited my brother and his wife and, as evidenced below, neither was able to wait very long before starting. Both were teasing the other quite a bit (naturally) on who would complete his/her puzzle first. To maintain harmony, I'll keep the victor's win a secret.
