All of the blogs, discussions, photos and other content PuzzleNuts are making on this site are great. To make it useful to others in search of info on particular puzzles, curiosities and requests for hints, please think about tagging your creations.
In particular, blogs and photos need tags. The search engine in this site does crawl our pages and does a decent job of returning information in search queries. But here are examples of how to tag your content with words that express concepts that may not be literally spelled out in what you say.
Think of how you'd search for info on what you're writing about in Google or even in the old days of library card catalogs. The first words that come to your mind typically make good tags.
- If the puzzle you are writing about is a teaser, trick, traditional, or treasure puzzle, tag it as a "teaser" "trick" "traditional" or "limited" (don't put quotes into your tags!)
- If a photo you upload shows you or your family puzzling over a Stave during the December holidays, tag it as "Christmas," "Holidays"
- Please always put the formal name of the puzzle in a tag
- If you're writing about Puff Enough, for example, you can tag it not only with that name but also with "birds"
Hope this helps. Meanwhile, remember to use the search widget atop all StavePuzzleNut.com screens to look for info on puzzles you're interested in and other Stave related subjects.
