Steve,
Welcome to PuzzleNuts! and Thank you for sharing your story. Let's see...Ace Ventura, Pet Detective - I've seen that movie a few times. It doesn't seem much like a "proposal" kind of movie. But you definitely nailed it with the puzzling part…
A replacement piece can be made HOWEVER - it is common knowledge that we round the pieces up or down to the nearest five. Aside from that, all I can say is that we are human - and when you count hundreds of puzzles a month you're bound to make few e…
Hi Paula, I saw that listing too, but I'm never sure how to value older puzzles. Do you agree with the seller that one shouldn't be worried about 189 pieces versus the box saying 190? Or, in the event one is missing that a replacement could be made…
So, I was just snooping around eBay - as I usually do - and spotted Go Fish. This is an early Hand-Painted Stave Limited Edition - SOLD OUT! I have seen a few of these where the paint looks like it had faded over the years (probably from being left…
So, I was just snooping around eBay - as I usually do - and spotted Go Fish. This is an early Hand-Painted Stave Limited Edition - SOLD OUT! I have seen a few of these where the paint looks like it had faded over the years (probably from being left on a table in the sunlight), but this one looks like the color is still close to original. Also, the clown on the box has changed slightly over the years. We've given him a more "uniform" shape - so this is an older box (of course). I'm not sure the s… Continue
I have been testing the Gobble Gobble Game for a few days now. Several of us around the shop are playing right now - it's hard to stop. I think this is one of the funnest games we have had so far. Melody has even started to chase the turkeys instead of avoiding them.
HINT - TURN YOUR VOLUME UP! And play alot so you can be a part of the $2007 in puzzles and prizes!
Putting the Rabbit Hill Inn on the web-site would be great! They are wonderful folks and certainly got us addicted to Stave--which could not have been easy to do since prior to our stay there we had never (literally) put a puzzle together. I know there are folks that go back there each year to relax and puzzle, and much of it has to do with Bryan and Leslie's attention to detail and style...anyway, you knew all that and it'll be great to see them on the web-site. Hi Paula, the pitcher is actually a suprise, thought I had picked one of myself from my work computer. I'll figure out how to change it later, but in the mean time I like it. The pitcher is one that was apparently used by my great grandmother in the back hills of Arkansas and the photo was sent to me by the cousin who has it.
Paula, Do you know why the Rabbit Hill Inn there in beautiful Vermont is not listed in the section of the web-site that shows Inns with Stave Puzzles...or, are they not a 'partner' with you guys...I know they lots of Stave puzzles and its where we puzzled a Stave for the first time and they promote Stave quite well with their customers...it is a beautiful Inn. Thanks Paula, a friend drew it for me (he says he drew it of me, but surely this is semantics). I'm looking forward to doing my first puzzles but a little concerned that this might turn into an obsession, so we'll see! :-)
Yes, my profile picture is of Florida. It's one of the many inlets that Florida has. The pic was took at sunset. Thanks for everything; I'll be sure to contact you if I need any help! :)
Hello Paula, it's a pleasure to meet you!
Thank you so much for posting on my discussion thread and letting me know what was happening!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the M&M's; that picture gave me a good laugh! :)
Many thanks Paula. I've also heard good things about a puzzle called Fishbowl Frenzy, but can't find any other info about it. Is that a trick or teaser, and still available?
Many thanks for your kind words Paula! Looking forward to seeing the pic on the website. It's great to be able to chat with the talented people involved in making the puzzles through this forum. Few companies have such a close relationship with their customers.
Hi Paula,
Thanks so much for your warm welcome. Much appreciated. I've been reading the various posts on hear avidly, trying to learn more about Stave. One puzzle that sounded particularly interesting was Moocho Munchies. I don't suppose you have a picture of it that you could show me, do you? Is it still available to buy? I might add it to my rapidly-growing wish list.
Many thanks for your help - David
