Hi June, Fall colors -- I truly miss everything about Fall on the East Coast. We have what Phoenix calls an "extreme cold front" moving through, so we had huge sand storms yesterday and a high of 68 degrees...brrr, cold. Kidding, I'm just trying to stay positive. At least it is finally cool enough here to get out and enjoy seeing things with sweating to death in 110+ temps. We moved here for my husbands job -- only temproary, 2-3 years. I 'retired' in March of this year...so, I'm doing a little photography work and playing the harp/piano to stay busy while giving my body time to heal from years of working too many hours in stressful jobs. Plus, learning more about our native American history. Lots a good hiking near here that I can enjoy now that it is cooler. I'm sure I'll need to re-enter the full time work force in the future myself, but I am blessed to be able to take a little time off -- I've never considered photography or playing the harp work (I might if I end up having to survive off either)
I'll be back in DC for a few days in early December.
Great coupons for discounts playing the Gobble game...I like it better than just playing to be entered into a contest.
Take care of yourself. Theresa

June, We are settling into life in Phoenix. As I'm sure you know, it is way too hot here this time of year. At least, it gives me plenty of time to get the house sorted and organized before nicer weather comes in mid-Fall (or so I'm told) I'm sure the desert will hold its own special charms once it is cool enough for me to get out and discover them.
I hope there will be a puzzling weekend some time this Fall/winter I'd love a great excuse to get back to the east coast. Work brought my husband and I here, but we are hoping it isn't for more than a few years...we kept our house in Alexandria.
How is everything going for you? Life is busy for you, I'm sure. Let me know the next time you are coming to the Phoenix area and perhaps we could meet for coffee.

Thanks for the welcome June! I have actually purchased several Stave Puzzles over the last couple of years - and absolutely love them! I first heard about them on CBS Sunday Morning Show - and was amazed. The hard part is always trying to decide which puzzle to purchase!!!! Thanks again!

Thanks for the welcome. As I look through the comments and Stave Puzzle web site, I am both excited and terrified about working my first Stave Puzzle. Selecting a puzzle may be as hard as putting one together.

Wow thanks. I heard about these from a paper for elementary students that said they were the worlds best puzzles. And I had never heard of them!!!! How could that be! I am so impressed with the whole site and the people on it.
