Hi PuzzleNuts, My good friend Ted just alerted me to two Stave Limited Editions currently listed on Ebay. One is Mid-Summer Night's Dream the other is Noah's Ark. Noah's is sold out! As of this posting the current bid on each is 99 cents!!! I think they are 10 day listings with no reserve. They were crafted in 1989 and 1988 respectively. Just to be clear - Stave has absolutely nothing to do with these listings - I just wanted you all to know of this opportunity to own a sold out LE.
So why are you still reading this? Go check them out.
:-)
Cheers, Paula
Ok - here's the NEW scoop! The Noah's Ark posted on eBay IS NOT the Limited Edition. Sorry :-( It was the end of the day (Jennifer, Cindy, and I had been scheming on a couple of new designs) and I was excited to see Ted's email about LE's on eBay - so in my haste I assumed they were both LE's. This customer does have the LE version of Noah's Ark.
I believe the Noah's Ark puzzle listed is a traditional, particularly since the piece count is so high. Even still - the current bid is an awesome deal. Keep your eye on both of these listings. If you want me to post more info on either please let me know.
Sorry for the confusion, p
P.S. - those new designs I mentioned above will require Community Member participation to complete - stay tuned.
Hi again - You may have all noticed that there is another Stave Limited Edition on eBay - Knight at Stavely Castle! This is a hand-painted Trick Limited Edition of 50. To date 21 have sold - including the one listed. Check it out!!!
Tammy & Joe - thanks for providing the link to eBay.
June, thank you for the question. Stave's full price is $6,895 with a current deal price of $5,995 good thru the end of this month.
I just checked the listing - the starting bid is $4,200. The puzzle does have one piece of personalization. For privacy sake I can't say what it is, but if anyone is considering bidding you can email the seller to ask.
Thanks for respecting my privacy, Paula. The personalized piece is my name: "Ron." I honestly love Stave puzzles and I'm a big fan of the wonderful crew that creates these treasures. If not for my serious health issues and mounting bills, I certainly wouldn't be attempting to auction a puzzle I waited 10 years to buy and play. Best Regards, Ron
Thanks for commenting in here about the personalization. We do consider all our puzzle fanatics to be like family and therefore have to think twice before we just start putting information out there. I hope some special Stave collector ends up with your KaSC...it's a treasure and NOT to be missed!
I, too, am sincerely sorry to hear about your health issues. Paula
