I remember vividly the first time I saw a picture of Pharaohs Curse. It was featured in Cigar Afficionado some ten years back. I had spent the better part of a decade backpacking across the globe and had fallen in love with
Egypt. I had to have this puzzle!
P.C. is the middle part of the Andrea Farnham trilogy that started with Treasure Island and concluded with The Quest.
This puzzle will take you on the ride of your life. It would have been impossible to imagine that a jigsaw puzzle
could do what this one does. I remain in awe of Andreas genius; ten grand would not be sufficient to separate
me from my Pharaohs Curse.
When I was finally able to discover the Secret Word the smile on my face lasted for weeks. After all; what more can you ask for.

It's a beautiful puzzle. I'm curious what the original price was. Anyone know?

Hi John
The original price in 1993 was $1995.00. Glad to have you aboard.

Thanks to Ted and June for posting the information and photos on Pharaoh's Curse. Though I chose not to bid on this item (placing my mortgage payment in front of the puzzle, in terms of significance...silly me), it was nice to view pictures I'd never seen before, and to be severely tempted to fall deeper into my ever-present, spiral of debt. Cudos to Chris on the win. Pharaoh's Curse may be gone forever, but at least I can look forward to Treasure Island. :) Thanks again! Ron

From Steve Richardson's Blog entry of Dec. 1, 2007 on Pharaoh's Curse:
What's happening on eBay is truly amazing. There's a Stave puzzle up there currently going for $3700. The customer bought it in 1994 for just under $2,000. It's Pharaoh's Curse and we only crafted 50 of them. It's a beautiful design by Andrea and I never thought I'd see the day that one would appear on eBay. It will be many moons before another one surfaces so if you have and interest please check it out.
