Hi Dee, Nay nay, we're on the Western side of Rte 1. Although Parson's Beach is 4.5 miles from our house, the best beach in the area. A short bike ride for us. as far as I know, Dave has not ventured to our area to market his paintings. Great place to visit- and live. Bill
Hi Bill
look at that, I spelt Tibbetts wrong twice, oh well, sorry Steve.
anyway he is a wonderful artist, I'm sure he's a great fisherman.
Our daughter went to the Unirversity of Maine in Orono a couple of years ago, that was a long haul up 95. we stayed a couple of nights in Camdon. Loved it, can't wait to go again.
I hear Kennebunk is nice to, are you on the water?

Hi Dee and Bill,
1. FYI: Dave's last name is spelled Tibbetts.
2. Yes, Dave was bored... he'd rather fish.
3. jeeez... I did not know about an accident. I will call him.
4. Just an hour ago (before reading this) I asked my gang to offer more of Dave's paintings... he is extraordinarily talented... and a great guy.
ciao, Steve
Hi Dee, I have his book and on pge 15, "Solitude" is one of my favorites. Unfortunately Dave had sold it by the time I asked him and he has no prints. It's completely different than his other paintings. I like his new colors he was using last year. More natural I thought. Grant's is a fishing camp on Kennebago Lake a few miles from Erroll NH and Rangeley, ME (in between). It was created around 1905. Dave hangs out there quite frequently-- resident artist??
Why did Dave leave Stave? He says boredom. Was his grandson and wife hurt in an accident recently?
Hi Bill,
I really like Daves art also, you can google "David B Tibbettes" to see his watercolors, and there is a great bio of him.
I don't know what Grants is, it a fishing place in Maine?
You are correct about Steve and Dave, thay founded Stave together back in the 70s.
Hi Bill,
I went to school with Dave's daughter Heidi, I know Dave a little to. Do you fly fish with Dave?
