What's your favorite puzzle and why?
Pharaoh's Curse, hands down! When I first started working for Stave puzzles way back in 1997, I remember the first time I laid eyes on Pharaoh's Curse, I was stunned at it's beauty, I think I even peed alittle.
I knew when I grew up I wanted to design just like Andrea.
Which Puzzles Do You Own?
Just about every puzzle I ever designed, some lovely prints, some of Candy Thuns designs, but no Pharaoh's Curse.
Meet other Puzzle Nuts near you by telling us what town and state you're in.

Which puzzles are on your wish list?
Can you guess? Maybe a used Pharaoh's Curse
When and where do you puzzle?

What got you into Stave Puzzles?

The Magic in a Design , The peacock you are now naming.

Hello everyone, Paula asked me to talk a little about the way a puzzle starts its life. Trust me it does take on a life of its own. For the sake of this discussion I will address teaser puzzles because trick puzzles go down a different road! Lets talk about the peacock puzzle, the one that you are now putting a name to........ The idea for this design actually was conceived two years ago. I was flipping through a catalog and there was a stunning peacock with gardens behind it, "that would make… Continue

Hi Dee,
Thank you for the encouragement, I think I'll really need it. These guys are serious! But I am looking forward to the challenge.
As to being a fan of my artwork, I bow to the master. I have always been impressed not just by your cleverness, but by your artistry - I love the way you draw.

My hubby got me two new pots full of herbs for mother's day. I've been pruning oregano and parsley like crazy! This odd weather we're having must suit them.
Been keeping busy - I have a sister who is getting ready for a move to Mississippi the end of June, so visiting down state as often as I can before that. The kids are WILD, and as cute as ever.
I'd love to try some of your chocolate mint! I told my mother-in-law about it, so now she's on a quest to find things to plant for making into tea. She loves to stock up on things for the winter. And since she's home for the summer catching up with her lupus, she's been very busy in the garden.
Hope you are well, and would love to hear from you again soon!

Dee,
I don't see Funny Farm on the site. Is it no longer available? Flutterby is on its way in the next couple of weeks, so now I'm especially looking forward to it. Don't worry about me going slow - that's how I approach puzzles. I won't win any speed contests, that's for sure.
Can you leak any news about the new puzzles - are they big or small; teasers or tricks? Or do we just have to stay tuned?

Hi Dee,
The avatar is a little section of a large original oil painting I own. It's a hobby/vice I have - collecting art. I have absolutely no creative skill of my own, so I take pleasure in the creativity of others. Like those puzzles you think up. What is your most challenging puzzle - I'll give it a try!

Thanks for the add! I have much the same interests in music, with the addition of bluegrass and folk - guess that makes it pretty eclectic. I love Nick Drake - puts my little ones to sleep! I have to say, I'm more of an oregano fan when it comes to my pasta sauce, but anything fresh from the garden is heartwarming.

Hi Dee,
Nice to meet you this way! You designed the very first Stave puzzle we (me and my fiancee) put together - Oh What a Knight. Well done on your part! We have four more of your puzzles on order - flutterby, bubbles, when nature calls, and venice byways. We can't wait to see what you have put in those puzzles. I hope you are busy thinking of new challenges for those of us who have caught the Stave bug.

Hi Dee. We have a Forum Discussion, it's one of the longer ones, that has alot of requests for new puzzles. I can't remember if I put the following idea in there but I remember sharing it with the Stave gang when I visited last Dec. It's the same thing you mentioned to Annie Driscoll: Make a teaser of the Stave building with each of the rooms packed with the characters who normally inhabit them. I was struck with how much the Stave office reminded me of Blast Off!!!!!
